Today, we will pick you from your preferred destination in Delhi. We will start in the early hours at sunrise to avoid unnecessary traffic. This ensures you make the most of your time in Rishikesh.
After a few hours journey to Rishikesh, you will check-in to your cozy hotel. Take some time to freshen-up before starting your spiritual exploration.
First, you will head towards the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple. This temple is situated at the spot where Lord Shiva is believed to have consumed the poison during the churning of the ocean.
Visiting this sacred place will allow you to seek the blessings from the almighty Lord Shiva. Experience the divine presence amidst the lush green landscapes of the lower Himalayas.
After this, you will proceed towards Shivpuri for river rafting. This will add an adventurous touch to your spiritual trip. Your rafting session will end near the Ram Jhula in Rishikesh and it will be at your own expense.
Once you are back in Rishikesh, you will head towards the Triveni Ghat. Here, you will witness the Chandrabagha River merging into the River Ganga Ji.
Apart from that, you will witness the captivating evening Ganga Aarti. This is a ceremony filled with rhythmic chants and the beautiful glow of lamps. You will also observe various other sacred rituals during the ceremony.
Later, you will return to your hotel to indulge in a delightful dinner. Enjoy a restful sleep to rejuvenate for the upcoming journey.
Today, wake up a bit early to begin your day. Start with a tranquil yoga and meditation session along the banks of the river Ganga. Experience this amidst a peaceful atmosphere that rejuvenates the soul.
Then, freshen up and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Prepare yourself to explore the other key attractions of Rishikesh.
You will begin today’s spiritual journey by visiting the Parmarth Niketan Ashram. It was founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj. This ashram holds a rich legacy in spiritual teachings.
It has been a sanctuary for seekers, yogis, and devotees from all around the world. It serves as a center for spiritual education, meditation, and cultural preservation.
This will be followed by a visit to the Geeta Bhawan. It was established in 1928 by Swami Ram Sukh Daasji. Since then, it has served as a haven for devotees seeking spiritual enlightenment through the Bhagavad Gita.
Large halls adorned with verses from the holy scripture will be witnessed by you. You also have an opportunity to immerse yourself in the continuous recitation of the Gita. From here, you can buy a copy of the Bhagwad Gita at your own expense.
After this, you will head towards the Terah Manzil Temple, also known as the Trayambakeshwar Temple. This thirteen-story temple was constructed in the 18th century.
Then, you will head towards the Lakshman Jhula. This suspension bridge is believed to be on the spot where Lord Lakshman crossed the river on a jute rope.
After exploring Lakshman Jhula, you will head towards the Ram Jhula. This is another iconic suspension bridge in Rishikesh named after Lord Rama.
After spending some time at the Ram Jhula, you will get in your comfortable cab. You will then head towards the holy town of Haridwar.
You will first go to the Har ki Pauri to witness the enchanting evening Ganga Aarti. This is not just a religious ceremony, but an emotional journey connecting you with ancient traditions.
Later, you will check-in to your cozy and clean hotel. Enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a peaceful night’s sleep.
Today we recommend you to wake up early. Head to Har-ki-Pauri to take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganga. Fetch some auspicious Ganga Jal (holy water) to take back home.
After this spiritual encounter, you will head towards the Maya Devi Temple. This is one of the Siddhapeethas dedicated to Goddess Maya.
Your next stop will be the Mansa Devi Temple. It is dedicated to Goddess Mansa, the daughter of Lord Shiva in his human incarnate.
After this, you will descend downhill and proceed towards the Chandi Devi Temple. It is located on the Neel Parvat and is dedicated to Goddess Chandi.
Lastly, you will visit the Daksh Prajapati Temple. It is dedicated to King Daksha, the father of Goddess Sati.
You will embark on your journey back to Delhi. Conclude your ‘Divine Ganga Retreat’ tour with a sense of spiritual fulfilment.
