    Day 2Kanyakumari – Rameshwaram

    Today, we recommend you wake up early before dawn to experience the mesmerizing sunrise at the Sunrise Point in Kanyakumari, where the first rays of the sun beautifully illuminate the horizon over the confluence of the three seas.

    After soaking in this enchanting sight, you can return to your hotel to freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Post breakfast, you will begin your sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari by first visiting the Kanyakumari Amman Temple, which is also known as the Bhagavathy Amman Temple. This ancient temple is counted among the 108 Shakti Peethas, and is dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari, who is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati as a young girl. Located near the southernmost tip of India, The temple is located near the southernmost tip of India and it not only has a deep spiritual & historical significance, but also offers stunning ocean views. According to the legend, the Goddess Kanyakumari performed penance here to marry Lord Shiva, but the marriage was called off,and as a result, all the grains intended for the wedding feast turned into stones, which are said to be visible on the shore even today.

    Following your visit to the Amman Temple, you will head to the Triveni Sangam, which is the meeting point of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
