Have an appetizing lunch (at your own expense) and prepare to travel towards the famous Karni Mata Temple, which is also known as Madh Deshnoke or the rat temple. The legend says that Karni Mata is the incarnation of
Goddess Durga, who was born in a Charnan Brahmin family. It is believed that once Karni Mata’s step-son Laxman drowned in Kapil Sarovar while drinking water. So, she cried and prayed to Yama (the God of Death) and he brought back not only Laxman, but all her sons in the form of rats.
So, it is considered that the white rats in the temple are the descendants of Karni Mata, while the rest are the dead ancestors of some of the Rajput clans.
After the Karni Mata Temple, you will be visiting the National Research Centre on Camels also known as the Camel Breeding Farm, where you will get an insight into the different types of camels in india.

After this, you will visit the Patwon ki Haveli, known for its elaborate carvings and grand architecture. This will be followed by a visit to Amar Sagar Jain Temple and Kuldhara, a haunted village that is left abandoned by the Paliwal Brahmins.

Today, you will first head towards Jodhpur, but first you will visit the Indo-Pak border at Tanot Longewala. Your first stop will be the Longewala Yudh Sthal that symbolizes the valiant defense by our armed forces against a Pakistani attack during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
After this, you will visit the Sadhewala War Memorial, a solemn tribute that stands as a testament to the unwavering courage and selfless sacrifice exhibited by our Indian soldiers during the Battle of Longewala (1971).
Then you will continue your journey towards the famous Tanot Mata Temple, that is dedicated to ‘Awadh Mata’, a local deity. On reaching the temple, you will experience a unique blend of factual history and divine spirituality. It is said that the Pakistan Army dropped around 400 bombs during the Battle of Longewala and none of them exploded within the Temple’s vicinity. As a result, the Pakistan Army General, came to the temple to apologize from Tanot Mata. This famous temple was even featured in the 1997 Bollywood Blockbuster ‘Border’ and it attracts millions of tourists every year.

Your first stop will be the Mehrangarh Fort, which has been was built on a rocky hill that rises 400 feet above the Jodhpur plains. The foundation stone of the fort was laid by Rao Jodha in 1459.
After this, you will visit the royal cenotaphs at Jaswant Thada, which is also known as the Taj Mahal of Mewar. It was built by Maharaja Sardar in 1899 to honor the memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
You will then visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the youngest royal palace of India, which was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1943 to provide employment to over 3000-4000 locals, suffering from drought and famine.
