    Day 1Kochi: Arrival & Sightseeing

    Upon your arrival in Kochi, our friendly agent will greet you and escort you to your hotel to help you freshen up. After some time, you will step out to explore this famous port city of Kochi.

    Your sightseeing tour begins with a visit to Fort Kochi, a popular area where the colonial remnants take you back to the pre-independence era.     Next, you will visit the St. Francis Church, which is the oldest European church in India. This park is known for its stunning rolling hills and lush grasslands. Here, you can enjoy a guided tour to spot the Nilgiri Tahr as well as some other exotic wildlife in its natural habitat. The park is especially beautiful during the blooming season of the Neelakurinji flowers, which turn the hillsides a vibrant blue every twelve years. The last blooming was recorded in 2018.

    Next, you will visit the Nayamakad Waterfall, which is a magnificent cascade that plunges from a height of about 1600 meters.     Next, you will head towards the Hawa Beach, which is also known as the Eve’s Beach.     Day 7Kovalam – Kanyakumari

    Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel to freshen up and grab a little rest. Soon, you will head out to visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is a memorial dedicated to the great philosopher Swami Vivekananada. This memorial is located on a small island just off the coast and is accessible by a short boat ride. Here, you will also visit the towering statue of the great Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar.

    After spending time at the memorial, you will return to the mainland to explore the town of Kanyakumari that is known for its unique geographical location. Here, you will take a leisurely walk along the coast to witness the confluence of the three oceans – the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

    As evening approaches, you will witness a breathtaking sunset over the ocean. Soon, you will return to your hotel for a delectable dinner and to settle in for a peaceful night’s sleep.

    Day 8Kanyakumari: Local Sightseeing & Departure

    We recommend you begin your day early by waking up before dawn to have an unforgettable experience of watching the horizon painted in vibrant hues at sunrise. After this mesmerizing start to your day, you will head back to your hotel to freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast.

    After breakfast, your exploration begins with a visit to the Kanyakumari Amman Temple, which is also known as the Bhagavathy Amman Temple. This temple is a significant Shakti Peetha and is dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari (an incarnation of Goddess Parvati as a child). According to legend, Goddess Kanyakumari performed penance here to marry Lord Shiva, but the marriage was called off, and the grains meant for the feast turned into stones, which can still be seen on the shore.

    This will be followed by a visit to the Triveni Sangam, which is the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean. The distinct colours of the merging waters are a fascinating sight and bathing here is believed to cleanse the soul and help attain moksha (nirvana).

    After this, you will visit the Our Lady of Ransom Shrine, which is an impressive Gothic-style church dedicated to the Goddess Virgin Mary. This catholic church has a striking white facade set against the blue ocean and is adorned with beautiful stained-glass murals.

    Next, you will head towards the Kanyakumari Pier to take a leisurely stroll and to enjoy the panoramic ocean views and capture some stunning photos. The most notable feature of the temple is its towering gopuram (gateway tower), that is richly decorated with colourful statues.

    Next, you will head to the Arulmigu Koodal Azhagar Temple, which is among the oldest Vaishnavite temples in India. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as Koodal Azhagar. The temple’s scriptures and inscriptions provide invaluable insights into the religious and social life of its time, making it a key site for historical and theological study.
