    Day 1 Haridwar: Arrival & Local Sightseeing

    Arrival in Haridwar

    Our friendly guide will meet you at your preferred destination in Delhi and then escort you to the holy city of Haridwar to begin your spiritual journey.

    After a few hours journey, you will reach Haridwar, where you will first check-in to your hotel to unwind and refresh.

    Afternoon Spiritual Sightseeing

    Har-ki-Pauri
    In the afternoon, you will start your spiritual journey with a visit to Har-ki-Pauri, where you will take a dip in the sacred Ganga River. It is believed that taking a dip in the river Ganga at Har-ki-Pauri not only soothes your soul, but also relieves you off your sins.

    Maya Devi Temple
    After this, you will visit the Maya Devi Temple, which is a revered ‘Siddhi Peetha’ that is dedicated to Goddess Maya, an incarnation of Goddess Adi Shakti. This sacred temple holds deep significance in Hindu mythology and is believed to stand where the heart & navel of Goddess Sati fell. Here, you can seek the blessings of Goddess Maya for marital bliss and family harmony.

    Daksh Prajapati Temple
    You will then continue your spiritual journey with a visit to the Daksh Prajapati Temple, that was built by Queen Dhankaur in 1810 to honour King Daksha, the father of Goddess Sati. Legend has it that this temple is constructed on the site where King Daksha conducted the ‘yagna’ in which Goddess Sati jumped in as her beloved husband Lord Shiva was not invited.

    Day 2Haridwar – Joshimath

    Early Morning & Breakfast

    Today, wake up freshen up, relish a hearty breakfast, and then you will embark on an exhilarating journey to Joshimath, which is a beautiful town is nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas and also serves as the winter abode of Lord Badrinath.

    Brahmamuhurta Rituals at Har-ki-Pauri

    However, if you wake up early during the Brahmamuhurta (approximately an hour before sunrise), then you can head to the Har-ki-Pauri to take a dip in the holy waters, depending on your level of devotion and your physical. Moreover, waking up early and heading to the ghat will also allow you to witness the captivating morning Ganga Aarti. After this immersive spiritual encounter, you will have an appetizing breakfast, which will be followed by a scenic journey through breathtaking landscapes, quaint villages, and the ever-flowing river meandering alongside your route.

    En Route Rishikesh & Panch Prayags

    You will be passing through through Rishikesh and the Panch Prayags (five sacred river confluences), but you will not stop here and will explore these destinations on your return journey from Badrinath, allowing you to experience them in harmony with the natural flow of the rivers that form the river Ganga.

    Arrival in Joshimath

    Upon your arrival in Joshimath in the later afternoon, you will check into your cozy hotel to relax, drop your luggage and freshen up.

    Narsimha Temple Visit

    Soon, you will step out to visit the Narsimha Temple, which is an ancient temple that is dedicated to Lord Narsimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Narsimha is depicted in the Hindu mythology with the body of a human and the head of a lion, and it is believed that he not only protect his devotees but also blesses them with prosperity.

    Dinner & Overnight Stay

    Day 3Joshimath – Badrinath – Mana – Joshimath

    Holy Dip at Tapt Kund

    Upon reaching Badrinath, you will begin your spiritual odyssey with a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, which is a natural hot spring located near the temple. Bathing at the Tapt Kund is a customary practice before entering the temple. Moreover, this ritual is not only about purification of the body, but it is also believed to purify the soul and revitalize the body.

    Badrinath Temple Darshan

    After taking the holy dip, you will visit the Badrinath Temple, which is a sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu and an integral part of both the Char Dham as well as the Chota Char Dham circuits. According to the legend, Adi Shankaracharya discovered the idol of Lord Vishnu in the Alaknanda River and enshrined it in the temple during the 8th century. Here, apart form the holy darshan, you will be taken aback by the rich heritage and the divine aura of the temple.

    Mana Village Excursion

    After seeking blessings of Lord Badri Vishal, you will embark on a short journey to the Mana Village, which is the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibet border. Here, you will be exploring the Vyas Gufa, which is a sacred cave where sage Vyasa is believed to have composed the Mahabharata. Moreover, the village’s mythological significance and scenic beauty offer a deeply enriching experience.

    Return to Joshimath

    As the evening approaches, you will return to Joshimath, where you will check back into your hotel to relax, enjoy a hearty dinner and settle in for a peaceful night’s sleep.

    Day 4Joshimath – Rishikesh

    Early Morning & Breakfast

    Today, wake up to a beautiful day, freshen up, and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out on a captivating journey to Rishikesh, which is often called the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’.

    En Route Panch Prayags

    En route Rishikesh, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the spiritual grandeur of the Panch Prayags, which are the holy confluences of Himalayan rivers that unite to form the divine Ganga River.

    Vishnuprayag

    The first prayag you will be visiting will be the Vishnuprayag, which is believed to be the site where Lord Narada received blessings from Lord Vishnu. Here, you will witness the merger of the Alaknanda River and Dhauliganga River.

    Nandaprayag

    This will be followed by a visit to Nandaprayag, where you will witness the confluence of Alaknanda and Nandakini Rivers. It is believed that bathing here cleanses the sins.

    Karnaprayag

    After this, you will visit Karnaprayag, which is the meeting point of the Pindar River with the Alaknanda River. This prayag is linked to Karna from the Mahabharata, who is believed to have performed penance here.

    Rudraprayag

    Next, you will visit Rudraprayag, where you will see the merging of the Alaknanda with the Mandakini River. This confluence is also associated with Lord Shiva’s fierce Rudra form and is also known for its rough rapids and natural beauty.

    Devprayag

    Soon, you will depart from Rudraprayag, and will reach Devprayag, where you will see the sacred confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers, marking the formation of the holy Ganga River. Here, you may take a dip in the holy waters as it is considered quite auspicious but be cautious of the high flowing waters.

    Optional River Rafting & Ganga Aarti

    As you approach Rishikesh, you have the option to indulge in an exhilarating river rafting adventure from Shivpuri to Ram Jhula. This thrilling experience adds a layer of excitement to your spiritual journey, but it is available at an additional cost.

    If you arrive before sunset, you will head to the Triveni Ghat to witness the soul-stirring Ganga Aarti, where chants, diyas, and rhythmic bells create an unforgettable spiritual ambiance. Otherwise, you will proceed to your hotel for check-in, which will be followed by a scrumptious dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

    Day 5Rishikesh – Sightseeing & Departure

    Today, wake up to the gentle sound of the flowing river Ganga in Rishikesh, freshen up and enjoy a wholesome breakfast at your hotel before stepping out to explore the aura of the yoga capital of the world.

    If you are an early riser or someone seeking inner balance, you may choose to begin your day with a revitalising yoga and meditation session at one of the nearby ashrams along the banks of the river Ganga.

    After the yoga session, you must return to your hotel to freshen up, have breakfast, and get ready for sightseeing. Depending on your departure schedule, you will begin exploring some of Rishikesh’s most iconic landmarks.

    Lakshman Jhula

    Your first stop will be the Lakshman Jhula, which is a historic suspension bridge that holds immense mythological significance, as it is believed that Lord Lakshman crossed the river Ganga at this very spot using a jute rope during his exile with Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. As you walk across the bridge, feel free to take in the breathtaking views of the river flowing beneath and capture some memorable photographs.

    Ram Jhula Walk

    From Lakshman Jhula, you will walk towards the Ram Jhula, which is another famous suspension bridge named after Lord Rama. The walk between these two bridges is lively and colourful, lined with cafes, ashrams, souvenir shops, and spiritual bookstores, offering a perfect glimpse into Rishikesh’s vibrant local life.

    Triveni Ghat (Optional Visit)

    If you missed visiting Triveni Ghat earlier, you have the option to stop here today to experience its peaceful and sacred aura. This revered ghat is known for its spiritual significance and calm surroundings, making it an ideal place for reflection before concluding your journey.

    Return Journey to Delhi

    After completing your sightseeing in Rishikesh, you will begin your return journey to Delhi. En route, you have the option to make a brief halt at Har-ki-Pauri in Haridwar to take a final holy dip in the sacred river Ganga and to collect the holy Ganga Jal as a blessed souvenir to carry back home.
