Day 1Jaipur: Arrival & Sightseeing

Upon your arrival in Jaipur, our professional guide will warmly greet you and then escort you to your luxurious hotel, where you can relax and freshen up.

You will start your sightseeing tour in the afternoon with a visit to the Hawa Mahal, which is a beautiful pink sandstone structure that is also known as the ‘Palace of Winds’. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 and is renowned for its intricate lattice work and distinctive architecture. The Hawa Mahal was designed to provide the royal women with a discreet vantage point, so that they could observe the activities and events happening on the streets below without being seen.

This will be followed by a visit to the Jantar Mantar, which is an astronomical observatory that is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Jantar Mantar was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the early 18th century, and it comprises of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments. The primary purpose of building the Jantar Mantar was to measure time, predict eclipses, track celestial bodies’ positions, and facilitate various other astronomical calculations.

After this, you will visit the City Palace that was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century. This palace showcases a blend of the Rajput & Mughal architecture, and it still serves as the residence of the royal family. Apart from that, the City Palace features courtyards, gardens, and palatial structures like the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Diwan-i-khas, Diwan-i-Aam, Patrika Gate, and more.

After exploring the heritage museum at the City Palace, you will visit the Govind Ji Temple which is situated in the Jai Niwas Garden within the City Palace Complex. The idol of Lord Krishna in the temple has been brought from Vrindavan, after the main Govind Dev Ji Temple in Vrindavan was plundered by Aurangzeb in 1670. Here, you will not only seek the blessings of Lord Krishna but will also witness an immersive ‘Mangala Arti’.

After seeking the blessings at the Govind Ji Temple, you are free to explore the local markets like the Johri Bazaar and the Tripolia Bazaar on your own to try some delicious street food and to shop for some ornate jewellery, textiles, and handicrafts.

Later, you will return to your hotel for a delectable dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

Day 2Jaipur: Local Sightseeing

Today wake up, freshen up, and start your day with a delicious breakfast before exploring the other key attractions of Jaipur like the Amer Fort, the Jaigarh Fort, and the Laxmi Narayan Temple.

You will begin today’s sightseeing tour with a visit to the Amer Fort, which is a majestic fort situated on a hill overlooking the scenic Maota Lake. This fort is also known as the Amber Fort and it’s construction began in 1592 under Raja Man Singh I, who was a trusted general of Emperor Akbar. Over the years, the fort underwent expansions and renovations by various rulers from different dynasties.

Next, you will head to the Jaigarh Fort, which is situated on ‘Cheel ka Teela’ or the ‘Eagle’s Hill.’ This fort was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1726 and it provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Amer Fort, Maota Lake, and the Jaipur city. The fort also houses the Jaivana Cannon, which is considered one of the world’s largest cannons. However, this canon never made it to battle.

After visiting the Jaigarh Fort, you will visit the famous Birla Temple, which is also known as the Laxmi Narayan Temple and is made using white marble. Here, you will witness a mesmerizing evening ‘aarti, and seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu & Goddess Laxmi.

After this, you will come back to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a peaceful night’s sleep.

Day 3Jaipur - Ajmer - Pushkar

Today, wake up, relish a hearty breakfast, and then embark on a journey to Ajmer & Pushkar.

Upon reaching Ajmer, your first destination will be the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, one of the major spiritual sites in India. This dargah serves as the final resting place of the revered Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and was constructed by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in the 13th century. It is believed that Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, who is also known as Khwaja Gharib Nawaz, grants the wishes of those who sincerely pray to him. Therefore, do not forget to offer a shawl to Khwaja Ji and seek his blessings for yourself as well as your family.

After visiting the shrine of Khwaja Sharif Dargah, you will head to the Ana Sagar Lake, which is a man-made lake that was built by the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan in the 12th century. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll by the lakeside or opt for boating at your own expense.

This will be followed by a visit to the Taragarh Fort of Ajmer, that is located on the Nag Pahari or the Taragarh Hill. This fort is also known as the Ajaymeru Durg after its founder Ajayaraja Chauhan, who built it in the 8th century.

After exploring the Taragarh Fort, you will proceed towards Pushkar, where you will first check-in to your cozy hotel and then visit the Brahma Temple. This temple is one of the oldest and one of the very few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma. The brahma Temple of Pushkar has immense spiritual significance as it is believed to be the place where Lord Brahma conducted a ‘Yagna’. The legend further says that after the religious ritual, Lord Brahma dropped a lotus on the ground, which led to the formation of the Pushkar lake. This temple of Lord Brahma was constructed in the 19th century by Raja Amar Singh near the Pushkar Lake.

Following a visit to the Brahma Temple, you will explore the sacred Pushkar Lake, which is surrounded by approximately 400 temples and 52 bathing ghats. Among these, the Brahma Ghat and Varah Ghat are the major ones and hold immense spiritual significance as they are both associated with various rituals and religious ceremonies. The Brahma Ghat is named after Lord Brahma, who is believed to have taken a holy dip there. Similarly, the Varah Ghat is named after Lord Vishnu, who appeared in his boar form there. We recommend you to reach the Varah Ghat in the evening before sunset to witness an enchanting evening aarti and to seek the blessings of the divine.

After this spiritual encounter, you will return to your hotel for a delightful dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

Day 4Pushkar - Nagaur - Bikaner

We recommend you to wake up a bit early today to utilize your time efficiently, as you will be heading to Bikaner, but will be visiting the Nagaur Fort, Karni Mata Temple, and the Camel Breeding Farm on the way.

Enroute Bikaner, you will first take a short detour to visit the Ahhichatragarh Fort in Nagaur, that was built by the Kshatriya Rajputs in the 12th century. Over the years, the fort underwent expansions under various dynasties and showcases a beautiful blend of Mughal & Rajput architecture. Some of the key attractions you will be visiting within the Ahhichatragarh Fort include the Deepak Mahal (Palace of Lamps), the Sheesh Mahal (Glass Palace), the courtyards & gardens, along with a visit to a temple dedicated to Karni Mata.

After this, you will head to the National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC), which is popularly known as the Camel Breeding Farm. This farm was established in 1984 by the Central Government of India for camel research and development. Here, you will not only learn about the history of camels, but will also learn more about the biology and the various types of camels.

Next, you will head towards the Karni Mata Temple, which is also known as the Rat Temple of Bikaner. This is a major pilgrimage site for various Rajput clans and it fetches millions of visitors from across the globe. According to the legend, Karni Mata’s son drowned in a lake, so out of love and concern, she begged ‘Yama’ (the God of Death) to bring her son back to life. However, Yama refused, which further enraged Karni Mata. Fearing the wrath of the Goddess, Yama decided to return her sons, but on a condition that they will all turn to rats. Ever since then, the Rajputs worship the rats in the temple considering the white rats to be the descendants of Karni Mata, and the black ones as their dead ancestors.

After this, you will continue your journey towards Bikaner, where you will check into your luxurious hotel to relax and unwind. In the evening, you are free to explore the local market on your own to savour the taste of Bikaner’s authentic street food, including snacks and sweets.

Later, come back to your hotel for a sumptuous dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 5Bikaner - Jaisalmer

Today, wake up, have an appetizing breakfast and then you will begin your sightseeing tour for the day before heading off to Jaisalmer.

The first attraction you will be visiting today is the Junagarh Fort, which is a 16th-century fort that was built by Raja Rai Singh. Some of the key attractions you will be visiting within the fort include the Anup Mahal, Phool Mahal, and the Badal Mahal.

After exploring the Junagarh Fort, you will head to the Lalgarh Palace, which is another beautiful palace in Bikaner that was constructed by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the 20th century. This palace was designed by the famous British architect Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, and it boasts of a beautiful blend of Rajput, Mughal, and European architecture.

Soon, you will depart from Bikaner and will head towards Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan. On reaching Jaisalmer, check into your hotel to drop your luggage and freshen up.

Then, you will proceed towards the Gadisar Lake, which is a stunning man-made lake that was built in the 14th century by Maharawal Gadsi Singh to provide a reliable water source for the inhabitants. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful time by the banks of the lake or undertake a mesmerizing boat ride at your own expense. After witnessing an enchanting sunset over the shimmering waters of the lake, you should visit the ancient Shiva Temple, that is located next to the main gate of the lake to witness an immersive evening aarti.

Day 6Jaisalmer: Local Sightseeing

Today, wake up in the golden city of Rajasthan, freshen up, marvel at the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort from your rooftop restaurant and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then, embark on a sightseeing tour to visit some of the key attractions of Jaisalmer like the Jaisalmer Fort, the Patwon ki Haveli, the Amar Sagar Jain Temple, Kuldhara village and the Sam Sand Dunes.

The first attraction you will be visiting today after checking-out from your hotel is the Jaisalmer Fort, which is also known as the ‘Sonar Killa’ or the ‘Golden Fort’. This beautiful architectural marvel was built by Maharaja Rao Jaisal in the 12th century on the Trikuta hill. This fort has been labelled as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is counted among the very few inhabited forts in the world. In the fort, you will walk through a web of narrow lanes that connect more than 3000 inhabitants living in the fort each other. Apart from that, you will pass through four humongous gates and will visit some key attractions within the fort like the Raj Mahal, Chandraprabhu Jain Temple, Laxminath Temple, the Jaisalmer Fort Museum, and the cannon point (which offers a panoramic view of the city and the desert beyond.

After exploring the Jaisalmer Fort, you will head to the Patwon ki Haveli, which is another architectural marvel dating back to the early 19th century. The Patwon ki haveli is basically a cluster of five havelis with intricate carvings and opulent architecture. The havelis were constructed by a wealthy merchant named Guman Chand Patwa for his five sons and is considered as one of the largest architectural monuments within the city.

Next, you will head towards the Amar Sagar Jain Temple, which is a historically significant temple dedicated to Lord Parshvanath, a revered Jain Tirthankara. This temple is situated next to the Amar Sagar Lake and is known for its beautiful and intricate artwork.

This will be followed by a visit to Kuldhara, which is a haunted village that was once home to the Paliwal Brahmins. The Paliwal Brahmins along with the villagers from almost 90 more Brahmin villages left their homes in 1875 to protect the honour of a young Paliwal girl who was facing a precarious situation at the hands of Salim Singh, a cunning minister. Here, you will not only see the abandoned ruins, but will also witness the ghostly silence that showcases its tragic past.

After Kuldhara, you will head to the famous Sam Sand Dunes within the Great Thar Desert. Enroute Sam, you will have an option to undertake various adventure activities like parasailing, quad biking, and jeep safari, but at your own expense. After undertaking these adventurous activities, you will head towards the Sam Sand Dunes, or else you will straight away go to the dunes, where you will embark on an unforgettable camel ride. Apart from that, you are free to explore the dunes on your own and can also experience riding a camel cart, but at your own expense.

As the evening unfolds, you will head towards your luxurious desert camp, where where a warm traditional welcome awaits with a dhol and tikka ceremony. As the evening unfolds, witness a captivating cultural program featuring dance and music performed by the local gypsy community.

Later, conclude your day with a delightful dinner and a restful sleep in the comfort of your luxurious Swiss Tent.

Day 7Jaisalmer - Longewala - Tanot - Jodhpur

Wake up to a refreshing morning in the heart of the Great Thar Desert, relish a scrumptious breakfast, and bid farewell to your luxurious desert camp. Today’s journey takes you to Jodhpur.

Enroute Jodhpur, you will first stop at the Longewala to visit the Longewala Yudh Sthal. It’s a special place that honours the brave efforts of our armed forces during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. This will be followed by a visit to the Sadhewala War Memorial, a place that deeply respects the incredible bravery and selfless sacrifices of our soldiers during the Battle of Longewala.

After this, you will head towards the famous Tanot Mata Temple, that is dedicated to ‘Awadh Mata,’ a highly respected local deity. This temple holds both historical and spiritual importance for all Indians. According to the historical facts, during the Battle of Longewala, the Pakistan Army dropped approximately 400 bombs in the vicinity of the temple. Miraculously none of them exploded and after the war, the Pakistani Army General visited the temple to seek forgiveness and the blessings of Tanot Mata. The temple was also featured in the 1997 Bollywood blockbuster movie ‘Border’, and over the years it gained further fame, attracting millions of visitors every year.

After receiving the blessings from Tanot Mata, you will proceed towards Jodhpur. After a couple of hours, you will reach Jodhpur in the evening, where you will check-in to your luxurious hotel to enjoy a delicious dinner and have a restful night’s sleep.

Day 8Jodhpur - Ranakpur

Today, we suggest waking up and starting the day early to make the most of your time, as you will not only be exploring Jodhpur, but will also be visiting the Ranakpur Jain Temple.

Today, you will begin your sightseeing tour for the day by visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, which was built by Maharaja Rao jodha in 1459. This majestic fort is perched atop a rocky hill that is situated almost 400 feet above the Jodhpur plains. You will not only witness the marvellous architecture of the fort but will also witness stunning panoramic views of the Jodhpur city and its surroundings.

After exploring the Mehrangarh Fort, you will head towards the royal cenotaphs at Jaswant Thada, which are built using white marble often called the ‘Taj Mahal of Mewar’ by the locals. These cenotaphs were erected by Maharaja Sardar in 1899 in honour of his late father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.

This will be followed by a visit to the Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is considered as the youngest royal palace of India. Maharaja Umaid Singh had commissioned this palace in 1943 to provide employment during a period of drought and famine to around 3,000 to 4,000 locals.

After this, you will depart from Jodhpur and will continue your journey to Ranakpur to visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple, which is a famous temple known for its marvellous marble architecture and intricate carvings. This temple was built in the 15th century by a wealthy local businessman Darna Shah, who dedicated the temple to Lord Adinatha, the first Jain Tirthankara.

After soaking in some spiritual essence at the Ranakpur Jain Temple, you will head to your luxurious hotel, where a delightful dinner and a peaceful night’s sleep await.

Day 9Ranakpur - Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur

Today, wake up to the refreshing breeze of the Aravali Mountain ranges, relish a hearty breakfast, and then set off to explore the Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was constructed by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The Kumbalgarh Fort is known for its breathtaking views and an almost impregnable wall stretching over 36 kilometers, making it the second largest fortified structure in the world.

After exploring the Kumbalgarh Fort you will proceed towards Udaipur, where you will check-in to your cozy hotel to grab a little rest and to freshen up. After some rest, you will meet your guide who will then escort you to the Udaipur City Palace, which is an architectural marvel perched on a hill-top next to Lake Pichola. This palace boasts of a splendid fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and was built over four centuries with contributions from various rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Some of the highlights of the palace include mirrored walls, ivory doors, and windows adorned with vibrant glass.

After exploring the City Palace, you will walk through the vibrant streets of Udaipur to reach the famous Jagdish Temple, which is the largest temple in Udaipur. This magnificent temple was constructed in 1651 and is dedicated to Lord Jagannath Rai.

Next, you will head to the Saheliyon-ki-Bari, which is a beautiful garden built in 1734 by Maharana Sangram Singh as a recreational place for the royal women. This enchanting garden is situated near the Fateh Sagar Lake and features lotus pools, fountains, and charming pavilions.

After spending some peaceful time at Saheliyon-ki-Bari, you are free explore the local markets like City Palace Market, Hathi Pol Bazaar, Bada Bazaar, and Clock Tower Market on your own.

Day 10Udaipur: Local Sightseeing

Today, wake up in the beautiful city of lakes, have a delightful breakfast and then prepare to explore some of the major attractions of Udaipur like the Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum, the Sajjangarh Palace, and the Jag Mandir Island Palace in Lake Pichola.

Today, you will start your tour by visiting the Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum, which is a fascinating museum that was founded by Padam Shri Late Devi Lal Samar in 1952. This cultural was built to promote the local culture & art, and houses a diverse range of folk art, intricate jewellery, unique puppets, and masks. Sometimes, the museum also hosts live performances, featuring traditional folk arts like puppet shows and folk dances.

After this, you will head towards the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, that was constructed on a hilltop by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 1884 to monitor the monsoon clouds. Here, you will witness beautiful panoramic views of the Fateh Sagar Lake, the Udaipur city and it’s surroundings.

Soon, you will depart from the Sajjangarh Palace and will proceed to Lake Pichola, which is the largest lake of Udaipur that was created by a ‘banjara’ in 1362 by building a dam on the Sisarma RIver. Later, it was expanded by Maharana Udai Singh II in the 16th century. This magnificent lake houses four large islands, of which the Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and Jag Mandir are the most popular ones. You will take a delightful boat ride on Lake Pichola to visit the Jag Mandir, which is a beautfiful garden palace situated on an island with tranquil banks. Here, you will not only find peace and solitude, but will also witness a picturesque view of Udaipur’s havelis, palaces and other heritage buildings situated on the other end of the lake.

After spending some leisurely time at Jag Mandir, you will ride back to the Udaipur city on a boat and then return to your luxurious hotel for a sumptuous dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

Day 11Udaipur - Chittorgarh - Kota

Today, wake up, relish a delightful breakfast, and then prepare to embark on a captivating journey to Ranthambore via Chittorgarh.

After checking-out from your hotel, you will head towards Ranthambore. Enroute Ranthambore, you will visit the Chittorgarh Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site that was constructed by Chitrangada Maurya in the 7th century. This fort boasts of a rich history of bravery and sacrifice. Here, you will see the Vijay Stambha (Victory Tower) that was built by Rana Kumbha to commemorate his triumph over Mahmud Khilji, and the Kirti Stambha (Tower of Fame), which is dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara.

Apart from that, you will also visit the Rani Padmini Palace, which is located within the Chittorgarh Fort. This palace is entwined with the legendary tale of Rani Padmini, a very beautiful Rajput princess. As per the historical facts, her beauty caught the attention of Alauddin Khilji, and he wanted to marry her, but her refusal led to a siege on Chittorgarh. Confronted by the imminent invasion and dire circumstances, Rani Padmini, along with other courageous Rajput women, made the solemn and brave choice of ‘Jauhar’, which is a self-immolation act undertaken to safeguard their honour.

After exploring the Chittorgarh Fort, you will proceed towards Bundi to visit the Taragarh Fort. This fort is located on a hilltop and was constructed by Maharaja Rao Deva in 1354. Inside the fort, you will find several captivating attractions like the Ratan Daulat entrance, the Chitra Shala, the Bhima Burj, and the Fort Palace. Apart from that, you will also see stunning views of the town, its blue houses, and the surrounding countryside.

Soon, you will depart from Bundi and continue your journey to Ranthambore, where you will arrive in the evening. Upon reaching, you will check into your luxurious hotel/campsite to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and have a peaceful night’s sleep.

Day 12Ranthambore: Local Sightseeing
